Being humble-III

In this posting, I am going to write about one more person from the Movie Industry who has got huge fan followers across the World.  It's none other than the Actor Rajini Kanth.  I am going to write about one real incident that happened in one of the shooting spots which was told by his co-actor.

The Tamil movie, Thalapathi (Means Captain) directed by Mani Ratnam is one of the block buster movies that was released in the early 1990s.  One of the co-actors who acted along with Rajini Kanth in Thalapathi was Arvind Swami.  It happened to be his debut movie.

Arvind swamy was tired after the shoot that happened in a house.  So he slept in a room that was empty in that house without knowing that it was meant for Rajini.   

When Rajini Kanth comes back to his room, he finds Arvind Swamy sleeping there.

Had you been in his shoes, tell me honestly what would you have done?

May be we would have frowned, got upset or probably woken him up. I am sure we would have certainly got disappointed to some extent.

Can you guess what he did?

He decides not to disturb him and sleeps on the floor.

When Arvind Swamy gets up from the Bed, he is really shocked to see the super star sleeping on the floor.  Imagine a superstar on the floor and debut actor on the bed.

On enquiring, he finds out that this room was meant for Rajini Kanth and when he came back after the shoot, Arvind was in deep sleep.  So he decided not to disturb him and then sleeps on the floor.

Points to ponder

Can you imagine, someone being in the pinnacle of stardom deciding to sleep on the floor since his co-star, a debut actor (of course, being unaware) was sleeping on the bed?  This only shows the humility and humbleness of Rajini. 

No wonder he is described as a fine human being and he is loved by his fans more for what he is as a person than for his superstar status.
